Fundraiser Launched After Rahway Motorcyclist, 32, Killed In Clark Crash

A 32-year-old Rahway man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in Clark Township on Tuesday, July 16, authorities said.

At 7:55 p.m., Justin Almenas was riding his motorcycle westbound on Madison Hill Road, when it collided with a Honda Accord that was making a left turn from Adams Street, Clark Township police said in a release. Almenas was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A fundraiser has been set up to hold a memorial for Almenas, who is survived by his wife Samantha and four children. As of Friday, July 19, more than $13,700 has been raised.

"His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and faith touched the lives of everyone who knew him," Angela Carattini said. 

The crash remains under investigation by Detectives of the Clark Township Police Department Traffic Bureau, officers said. To view the fundraiser, click here.
